School Curriculum K-8
The curriculum in the elementary program is designed to assure that each student will have a competitive edge in developing academic excellence. Our core curriculum includes religion, mathematics, science, spelling, peace education, phonics, social studies, reading, penmanship, language arts, guidance, physical education, music, art, and library. A foreign language program, computer education classes, and earth literacy also enhance our curriculum. Field trips, Christmas and spring concerts, field day, and cultural arts presentations are among some of the activities that round out the curriculum. Extra Curricular Opportunities
Opportunities to further stimulate students intellectually are provided by the National Junior Honor Society, our award winning Forensics Club, and the Student Leadership. Our Lady of the Lake provides many opportunities for students to develop skills outside the classroom. Extracurricular activities include girls' and boys' basketball, band, liturgical choir, peer mediation and conflict resolution, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, school dances.
Before and After School Programs
Recognizing the needs of modern families, OLL offers before and after school programs for students in grades K-8. A certified teacher supervises the after school program which is available until 6:00 P.M. (See Notices/Forms Navigation Bar for further information.)
Hot Lunch
OLL also offers a reasonably priced hot lunch under the auspices of the National School Lunch Program.
