Mission Statement
The Office of Child and Youth Protection supports the mission of the Archdiocese of Newark by helping young people grow in their relationship with God in a safe and nurturing environment. To uphold this commitment, the Office implements and ensures full compliance with the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People.
In alignment with the Archdiocese’s broader mission of extending God’s merciful and loving care to all, the Office also provides compassionate outreach to victims/survivors of abuse and their families. With open hearts and a sincere commitment, we work to support their spiritual and emotional healing while promoting justice and hope within the community.
